Will The White iPhone 4 Be Purchasable For Xmas?

Who can remember back to July of 2010? Apple had just distributed the iPhone 4 and was having a press conference to address some of the issues that users were having with the new gadget. The white iPhone 4 would be released soon. In fact, the release date was set for the end of July. Now come back forward to now. It is currently November and leaves are falling from the trees and it's getting very cold out. The iPhone 4 can be seen everywhere one looks with one discouraging detail. They are all black iPhones. Four months and numerous let downs later we still have no absolute release date for the White iPhone 4. All that Apple will say is that the white version will be coming out "later this year." However, there is hope for those sitting and steadily anticipating for the white version of the iPhone 4. Two goings-on have recently transpired that are leading general public to believe that the white units will, in fact, be ready for market before Christmas.
The first action that got the web buzzing was an alleged leaked email from Steve Jobs to a high school pupil in answer to the question, "I want the white one but Apple said it wouldn't be ready until later in the year... do you think we can expect to get the white iPhone for Xmas." The response from Jobs was "Christmas is later this year." The first reply usually asked after reading this is, is this story true? Further analysis has found numerous websites claiming both sides. More than one site is taking credit for producing thefalse email and answer while others are saying the response from Jobs is absolutely true and verified. There has been nothing as far as a statement from Apple concerning this issue that people have been speaking about refuting the correspondence. So, if we assume it is not false, the response seems toimply that the white iPhone 4 will be made public and ready for Christmas.
The other news story that has people about to get out their cash and bag the white iPhone is actually a picture. The photograph surfaced early last month from an anonymous Wal-Mart in theU.S. showing spaced set aside for the white iPhone 4. The sticker, as seen below, is for a 16GB white iPhone selling for $197 with a two year plan from AT&T. Where there are generally countless websites claiming that the photo is a phony there have been relatively few with this one even though it would be very easy to Photoshop. Apple and Wal-Mart have done diddly to squash the rumor. Wal-Mart currently sells the black iPhone 4 so it is not far fetched at all that Walmart will also be carrying the white version and if space is being reserved then the release should be imminent.
As the end of the year looms and stories like these two continue to break it seems more and more likely that the white iPhone 4 release date cannot be far off. From a marketing standpoint it makes sense for Apple to debut the white iPhone in time for the holiday shopping rush. Apple has proven time and time again that they are masters in product launches and "The White" is looking like it will be another explosion. The enthusiasm is increasing and now the only thing left is for Apple to give us a date for release. Until then everyone can only give their best guess as to what the release date will be.
